Eggs with a cream

Author: Aušra

Tasty and easy 🙂 Put ingredients to the forms and while baking in an oven, you can go wake up your family. I prepared them already two times, but both times I over-baked it a little bit and the egg yolks were strong. But neglecting that we liked it, especially my hubby liked the eggs with a feta. And my parents said that these eggs are very solid.

Eggs with a cream

Yields: 4 servings
Calories: 180 kcal / serving

Ingredients:

  • 15 g butter
  • 4 eggs
  • salt
  • peppers
  • 4 tbsps. cream
  • 125 g feta (optional)
  • 1 tbsp. chopped parsley or 2 tbsps. chopped onion springs (if using feta)

Directions:

  • Melt the butter and divide to four small forms.
  • If using feta, crumble it to the forms.
  • Every egg beat in a small bowl and then carefully pour in a form.
  • Season with salt and peppers. Pour one tablespoon of cream over every egg.
  • Put forms in a big baking dish and pour in it boiling water till half of the small form will be covered. Cover with foil. Bake in preheated to 200°C oven about 10 minutes or till egg white will be strong and egg yolk will still be soft.
  • Or you can put small forms in a big pan, pour boiling water till half form will be covered. Cover with a lid and boil on a medium heat for about 10 minutes – water will be boiling and steam will boil eggs.
  • When 1-2 minutes will be left till the end of boiling time, sprinkle with chopped parsley or onions springs.
  • Enjoy!

Tortas "Citrininis Drugelis"

Cake Lemon Butterfly

I chose this cake because it was with lemon, so had to be refreshing, and it was in butterfly shape – it had to fit for my daughter’s birthday, because she love every creature that is alive 🙂 And I was wright! The cake was very good! I baked only half portion, but it was really enough for 6-8 people. Only next time I would bake only 2/3 of sponge, because we like when cake is almost all of cream and sponge is a very thin layer. But you should decide by yourself.

Burokėlių, anakardžių ir fetos sūrio salotos

Beetroot, cashew and feta salads

Don’t know why but this autumn I’m hooked on beetroots. Every weekend I boil some beetroots and through the week I incorporate them in our dishes. And then story repeats. When I wanted for dinner something light, I prepared these salads. By the way, this recipe in the book is called carpaccio, but I think it’s more salads, and the name is more usual and not so fancy 🙂 . Family girls enjoy them, the big boy ate them and just said that more balsamic vinegar would be better, and the little boy as always, prepared some theater and then ate them, just without enjoyment. So I remember these salads as they are fit for girls 🙂 And I prepared very similar salads with hazelnuts, and they were very good too. So as always – don’t be afraid to experiment and correct ingredients by your refrigerator or cupboard products.

Rabarbarų ledai

Rhubarb ice cream

This is the best ice cream that I have ever made – this is what said my hubby. But I prepare ice cream rarely, so maybe he just doesn’t remember other ice cream taste 🙂 Anyway, these ice cream is very delicious because of mild sourness of rhubarbs and strawberries gives very nice pink colour.

Sūrio tortas

Cheesecake

This year we met at home only with kids. So the preparation for the evening wasn’t much. This cake in all recipe sources got a lot of compliments. I agree with them – it’s really good and simple. I used 26cm cake form. And I really suggest you to warm the mascarpone and condensed milk mixture, because if you won’t do it you’ll get lumps when you pour gelatine (Then I had to put the mixture in a warm bath and wait till mixture warms and lumps dissolve).

Agurkų ir kiaušinių salotos

Cucumber and eggs salads

This simple salads are from kids recipe book (only one of a huge amount). But they really suitable for parents, just double or triple the quantities. If your little one is like mine and doesn’t like salad leaves, cut them in small chunks – it worked for my kid and he ate and didn’t noticed them.
