It’s more the idea than a recipe. But the good one if you have some sprinkles leftovers. And what I liked more – they are just a little bit sweet.

Puff pastry stripes with sprinkles

Time needed:

Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry
  • 1 egg
  • Sprinkles

Directions:

  • Defrost puff pastry.
  • Roll it a little bit and coat with beaten egg.
  • Sprinkle with sprinkles and cut in to stripes.
  • Bake in the preheated to 180°C oven while it starts to brown. Be careful – don’t overbake, because sprinkles will melt and brown.
  • Enjoy!

When I saw this recipe the first thought was that onion and sunflower seeds are strange combination. But it was so simple that I couldn’t resist trying it. And I can say that it’s very good snack. I just wanted to use coarse salt but I don’t have it, so I used fine salt and it was ok.

My little girl every day asks to make something for her lunch at school. She bought a few days in cafeteria her lunch, but anyway she keeps asking me for homemade lunch. So I wanted to surprise my girl and made these hedgehogs. She liked them a lot and I already baked them twice. It’s very easy.
