Edible playdough

My kids like to play with homemade playdough. Every weekend they play in the kitchen while I’m preparing something tasty. But one time when I saw my kids sitting and smiling with green mouths, I understood that something was wrong 🙂 So I made decision – prepare edible playdough. The recipes was selected long time ago, but time to prepare it came only now. It’s very easy to make and tasty to eat – if you like peanuts and sweetness. But don’t do my mistake, don’t prepare full amount, devide in half or even more. We ate a lot, but it still is on my pantry. Now it hardened, but we break some chunks and eat like candies. After a great play you can make small balls and dip in the melted chocolate – and you will have great candies.

Edible playdough

Time needed:
Yields: a lot
Calories: 2965 kcal / all

Ingredients:
1 cup = 237 ml

  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 cup powdered sugar

Directions:

  • Mix ingredients in a bowl.
  • I suggest pour sugar powder by steps, not all at once. My honey was hard. Maybe that’s why when I poured all sugar powder my playdough was rather hard to roll.
  • Store good rapped in plastic food film.
  • Enjoy your time playing and eating!

Meduoliukai

Gingerbread cookies

This gingerbread cookies I baked two times and the second time I made them thinner – these were much more better 😉 It’s sad that ducks, elephants, mice and butterflies didn’t survived till photo session.. By the way, I don’t know why but butterflies were most popular 🙂 Maybe because they were very colourful… This is the last entry about Christmas baking. So what now? Will be waiting for the spring? 🙂

Kalėdiniai meduoliai

Christmas gingerbreads

Yeah, I know… Christmas was last year. But I want to remember this recipe for the future. It’s exclusive because one of the ingredients is sour cream. I didn’t decorate them, because these cookies were for my kids to eat before sleep. And from other side, why I need to decorate them? These cookies are delicious all by them self.

Puffed rice with sunflower seeds and honey

Puffed rice with sunflower seeds and honey

It’s a very quick dessert or snack. It’s my style 🙂 And the ingredients are only a few. But it’s a pity that in Lithuania we can’t find puffed rice, only in Poland…

Sezamo saldainiai

Sesame candy

I put a star on this recipe long time ago in Google Reader, but only Tasty weeks encouraged me to try to make my first candy 🙂 They were delicious – disappeared in a few minutes (maybe because I make only a quarter the recipe). Nice! 🙂 Tomorrow I have to look for another candy recipe. And meanwhile I can say that these candies are like kozinaki with a mild flavour of honey. And they are not very hard (in a fridge they became crunchy).
