Maybe not the real ones but really tasty kibinai

Author: Aušra

Date:

I must confess – I have never ate the real kibinai ? But this weekend we had some guests who likes kibinai a lot, and they said that these kibinai are very good (kibinai also agreed with guests “cause they disappeared from the plate very fast ? )

Maybe not the real ones but really tasty kibinai

Time needed:
Yields: 30-35 kibinai

Ingredients:

  • Dough:
  • 1 kg all-purpose flour
  • 450 g butter or margarine
  • 4 eggs
  • 200 g sourcream (30% fat)
  • salt
  • Filling:
  • 1 kg pork collar butt
  • 3 onions
  • 50 g butter or margarine
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • splash cold boiled water

Directions:

  • Cut butter into cubes and put it in the flour. Grind thoroughly, till crumbs forms.
  • Then put three eggs and one egg white, sourcream, salt and mix well.
  • Put prepared dough in the fridge and start preparing filling.
  • Cut meat into small bits.
  • Put cut onions, butter, seasonings, splash of water and mix well.
  • Take the dough from the fridge, divide it to 30-35 balls (for me one ball weighted about 50 g).
  • Roll out balls into sheets, put some filling in the center of these sheets and press the edges to form kibinai (you can see how to do it in recipe source).
  • Put kibinai on the baking paper and coat with the left egg yolk mixed with a splash of water.
  • Bake in 200°C oven about 30-35 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

Challah

I baked this challah a lot of times, because I just love it. The last time I baked it I prepared the dough and to rise the first time I put it in a fridge for the night. The next morning I took it out, formed challah and let rise it the second time, then baked it. So that morning we had delicious breakfast with still warm challah.

Vištienos ir cukinijų pyragas

Chicken and zucchini pie

I can say that this is almost the same as Zucchini pie with tuna just tuna changed to chicken. Also I can say that I found out it only after a few times I baked this pie. Their taste are very different. They both are favourites in our family. Just now I bake with chicken more, because my kids don”t eat tuna, but pie with the chicken eats one of my kids.

Šokoladiniai sviestiniai sausainiai

Chocolate butter cookies

I chose them because in the recipe it was written that they don’t spread. Yes, it’s correct. But I expected more crunchy, and they were soft. But they hole the form very well and are really delicious. I gave them as a present in my job. They disappeared in minutes 🙂 And I was asked for the recipes.

Fluffy cottage cheese pancakes

Very delicious pancakes. Fluffy, very light. Just melts in your mouth. When I remember their taste I’m suffused with warmth and good memories of the weekend.

Moliūginis pyragas su šokoladu ir riešutais

Pumpkin blondies with chocolate and pecans

It was the first time when cake dissapeared so quickly. And even more – almost everyone asked for the recipe. 🙂 I was really pleased. So I write down here the recipe without a queue (in the queue there are five more recipes).
