Pie with chanterelles

Author: Aušra

Date:

When I got some chanterelles, I decided to bake this year something new. And because I know how convenient to take non-sweet pies for lunch at work, I chose this recipe. Only in original recipe says to use more salt then I usually need, so I give here already corrected recipe.

Pie with chanterelles

Time needed:
Yields: 8 servings
Calories: 363 kcal / serving

Ingredients:

  • Crust:
  • 180 g flour
  • 60 g potato mash powders (I had only 30 g)
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 ml water
  • pinch salt
  • Mushrooms filling:
  • 1 1/2 l chantarelles
  • 1 onion
  • 3 tbsps. butter
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. white peppers
  • Filling:
  • 200 ml milk
  • 100 ml cream, 10% fat
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. white peppers
  • Spinkle:
  • 100 g cheese, grated

Directions:

  • Mix flour, potato mash powders, baking powder and salt. Mix in melted butter, then – lukewarm water. Knead dough, then form the ball and put in a refrigerator for an hour.
  • Clean mushrooms, cut and heat 7-8 minutes in a pan without fats, while water evaporates. Put chopped onion, butter and braise 5 minutes more. Season with salt, white peppers and cool.
  • Line dough in a 26-28 cm diameter baking form and gore with a fork. Bake 10 minutes in a preheated to 200°C oven. In a bowl beat eggs, mix in milk and cream. Season with salt and white peppers. Mix mushrooms with eggs mixture and pour on the pie base. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake 30 minutes in 200°C oven. Enjoy!

Cherry cake

Before baking this case, I couldn’t decide – it’s a cake or a pie. But when I baked it no questions were left – it’s really a cake and the good one. Crispy top, tender egg while layer and sour cherries makes very good combination. But if you are afraid of sour cherries, you can use preserved cherries. The next time egg white layer I will make smaller or will use bigger cake form (now I used 24cm). I know, the photos are horrible, but I had to do some photos in a rush, because I try to bake less sweets and the next time this cake will be baked after long time.

Swirl Pumpkin Brownies

Yes, I still have pumpkin puree 🙂 And this time it’s not so healthy but very chocolate brownie. It’s really easy, just I baked 10 minutes more. The next time, I will bake only 5 minutes more. And also, when I baked it second time I used less sugar, and my big girl tasted that. My hubby also agreed that brownie second time was not so good as the first time. So the third time I won’t change anything – these proportions are really perfect!

Cookies Puppies

At last I made these little puppies too. My daughter asked to give her something that she could treat her kindergarten group children. So good mother rolled up her sleeves and started to word ? This work was only pleasure. Of course it needed some time but these puppies are really worth it.

Crepes rolls with minced meat

Loved from the first bite 🙂 Especially liked it my hubby – he’s the spicy food lover. For the children I didn’t even let them to taste 🙂 Not because of jealousy, just they still love mild tastes.
