Buns with cottage cheese

Author: Aušra

Date:

I bake these buns everytime I have some cottage cheese left and want something sweet but at the same time simple. And the next day I just love to warm them a few seconds in the microwave – then they smell like newly baked. Really good!

Calories: 179 kcal / bun

Ingredients:

  • 300 g flour
  • 2 tsps. baking powder (I add only 1 tsp.)

Directions:

  • Mix flour with the baking powders.
  • Separate egg white and mix with sugar.
  • Pour milk, oil, vanilla and mix in cottage cheese.
  • Sift in flour and mix the dough.
  • Divide it to 12 parts. And then every part – to 3 parts.
  • From every piece roll about 15 cm log and braid from three pieces.
  • Put buns on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  • Mix egg yolk with a teaspoon of milk and coat buns with this mixture. Sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake in the preheated to 200°C oven about 20 minutes.
  • Enjoy!

Tortilijos

Tortilla

We just love tortillas. I tried this recipe more than once. Every time disappears very quickly, because my kids and me just eat them warm plain. My hubby doesn’t adore pastry, but he enjoys eating tortillas with some filling. So I really recommend to try – it’s simple, quick and better one hundred time than store bought.

Ratatouilletarte arba pyragėliai su daržovėmis

Ratatouilletarte or mini pies with vegetables

These mini pies are very delicious and warm, and cold. I thought I will miss meat, but I didn’t. I thought to bring them to work for lunch, but I couldn’t because we ate them all for breakfast…

Picos padas, ruoštas duonkepėje

Pizza dough, prepared in bread machine

We’re getting used to make pizza every weekend. Maybe because I prepare pizza dough in bread machine and freeze for later use. So when friday comes, I take one pizza dough ball from the freezer and put it in the fridge. Next day I just have to stretch it out and put all the leftovers from the fridge. But it’s an other story 🙂

Kalėdiniai meduoliai

Christmas gingerbreads

Yeah, I know… Christmas was last year. But I want to remember this recipe for the future. It’s exclusive because one of the ingredients is sour cream. I didn’t decorate them, because these cookies were for my kids to eat before sleep. And from other side, why I need to decorate them? These cookies are delicious all by them self.

Meduoliukai

Gingerbread cookies

This gingerbread cookies I baked two times and the second time I made them thinner – these were much more better 😉 It’s sad that ducks, elephants, mice and butterflies didn’t survived till photo session.. By the way, I don’t know why but butterflies were most popular 🙂 Maybe because they were very colourful… This is the last entry about Christmas baking. So what now? Will be waiting for the spring? 🙂
