Minced meat, onions and caraway seeds stew

One more simple recipe goes in to my collection. I found it about 8 year ago, just when my girl stopped eating everything that is mixed (stews, pilafs, salads and etc.) I had to set this recipe aside. Now my girl eat everything (almost) and we can return to stews. So it’s time to write this recipe in my blog.

This stew doesn’t require much of your time, it just needs time to braise. I think freshly baked buns would be perfect here, but I had no time for them, so we ate with white bread. Original recipe calls for a lot more caraway, but I adjusted the amount for my family taste. Also be careful with the salt if using stock or you can end up with too salty stew (as I do sometimes 🙂 ).

Layered salads with minced meat

This salads are quick and easy to prepare. We made them a couple of times last year, and remembered this year too. Although salad photo in a plate is not so good, but it taste very good anyway 😉

Pamačiusi receptą pagalvojau, jog keistas derinys svogūnai ir saulėgrąžos. Tačiau jis toks paprastas, kad pagalvojau, jog tikrai nieko neprarasiu, jei pabandysiu. Ir sakyčiau puiki užkandėlė. Tik man norėjosi rupios druskos, tačiau tiko ir smulki.

Puff-pastry with onions and sunflower seeds

When I saw this recipe the first thought was that onion and sunflower seeds are strange combination. But it was so simple that I couldn’t resist trying it. And I can say that it’s very good snack. I just wanted to use coarse salt but I don’t have it, so I used fine salt and it was ok.

Super simple onion sauce

I never thought that you can prepare tasty sauce without sour cream or cream. But one day, when I didn’t have anything good at home, for dinner I prepared thin pork chops and they looks so dry, so I gave a try to this sauce. It was really good. I used only water but still it had some mushroom taste. And it was delightful.

Cabbage and minced meat bake

Rather healthy and satisfying dish for cabbage lovers. My family liked it a lot, but I have to warn you – from the portions in the recipe you will make a lot of it. So if you want just to try it – make from half of the recipe.

Meat balls with brown sauce
