Minced meat, onions and caraway seeds stew

One more simple recipe goes in to my collection. I found it about 8 year ago, just when my girl stopped eating everything that is mixed (stews, pilafs, salads and etc.) I had to set this recipe aside. Now my girl eat everything (almost) and we can return to stews. So it’s time to write this recipe in my blog.

This stew doesn’t require much of your time, it just needs time to braise. I think freshly baked buns would be perfect here, but I had no time for them, so we ate with white bread. Original recipe calls for a lot more caraway, but I adjusted the amount for my family taste. Also be careful with the salt if using stock or you can end up with too salty stew (as I do sometimes 🙂 ).

Pork stew with dried prunes

For the quick lunch or in case you don’t want to spend a lot of time near the stove, this pork stew if just for you. While it’s stewing, you can take your time and prepare salads or some side dish. No matter how suspiciously we looked into dried fruit and meat combination, here it suits perfectly. This time as a side dish we had brown rice, so do not be surprised that they look like dirty, but after all, healthier 🙂

Tortilla rolls with meat and beans

This dish was prepared very long time ago. I even thought to delete photos because I couldn’t find from which book I chose it. But accidentally this week I found it, so in hurry to put it in here. In spite I prepared this dish long time ago, I still remember that it is quick and very easy. So suits for quick dinner perfectly.

Bean salads with pickles and sausage

Again my refrigerator is empty, so I boiled some beans. Now for a few days we enjoy them with meat or vegetable stew, or with pasta, or just simply with fried onions and tomatoes. Today I decided to make this salads. I’ve made them before and it left good memories, so I guess it’s time to show them for you too. Today I made them with my proportions, so this is how I liked them most. We ate all four, and everyone liked them. Just to mention, I used some smoked ham and I really recommend to use it too. It gives strong but good taste.

Kiaulienos medalionai su Maggi Papyrus lapeliais bei sveikuolių salotos

Pork medallions in Maggi Papyrus with healthy salads

Next to the pork medallions I served some healthy salads which I saw yesterday in one of my magazines. It was simple and almost everything was already in my refrigerator. We enjoyed them a lot, even my kids ate them (with some motivation – some candies in front of them, which were kids if they eat all salads). Me and my hubby agreed that these salads would be grate even without meat, because roasted sunflower seeds were so good in these salads. So we’ll be making them soon for sure again.
