One more simple recipe goes in to my collection. I found it about 8 year ago, just when my girl stopped eating everything that is mixed (stews, pilafs, salads and etc.) I had to set this recipe aside. Now my girl eat everything (almost) and we can return to stews. So it’s time to write this recipe in my blog.

This stew doesn’t require much of your time, it just needs time to braise. I think freshly baked buns would be perfect here, but I had no time for them, so we ate with white bread. Original recipe calls for a lot more caraway, but I adjusted the amount for my family taste. Also be careful with the salt if using stock or you can end up with too salty stew (as I do sometimes 🙂 ).

Buns with bacon

We don’t eat smoked bacon with onions and bread often, just sometimes 🙂 But after visiting family in farm we got a big cut of smoked bacon. So I baked buns with bacon. I just love them, but my hubby don’t. Anyway, I baked and froze a lot of buns, so now I have snack or breakfast for a long time:)

Mėsos kukuliai pikantiškame padaže

Meatballs in spicy sauce

When I saw this recipes I immediately wanted to make them. The main reason – meatballs are baked in an oven, so you don’t have to stand near the stove. I made them already a few time and both times they came out really good. So I just need to add this recipe hear in my blog. You should try them too 🙂 By the way, when I made them, I didn’t have bread crumbs, that’s why I used oat brans. But it didn’t change the taste, just made meatballs healthier.

Navy pork

It’s pork braised in home made tomato sauce. I prepared this already two times. The first time I cut pork in thicker chunks, the second – in thinner. My hubby said that the second time was better. By the way, be careful with seasoning – when tomato liquid evaporates, the taste becomes stronger.

Chilli stew with rice

My hubby likes hot dishes, so one day I decided to indulge him. After eating this dish he was very happy and with the smile in his face 🙂 He even wasn’t disturbed that in this stew was corn, that he really doesn’t like. Tomatoes brought the right freshness. I think that this dish is really very good balanced.

Tortilla rolls with meat and beans

This dish was prepared very long time ago. I even thought to delete photos because I couldn’t find from which book I chose it. But accidentally this week I found it, so in hurry to put it in here. In spite I prepared this dish long time ago, I still remember that it is quick and very easy. So suits for quick dinner perfectly.
