Cabbage and minced meat bake

Author: Aušra

Date:

Rather healthy and satisfying dish for cabbage lovers. My family liked it a lot, but I have to warn you – from the portions in the recipe you will make a lot of it. So if you want just to try it – make from half of the recipe.

Cabbage and minced meat bake

Time needed:
Yields: 8 servings
Calories: 332 kcal / 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg cabbage or cauliflower (I used 1/3 cauliflower and 2/3 cabbage)
  • 500 g minced meat (I used lean minced pork)
  • 1 big onion
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 300 ml milk
  • salt
  • peppers
  • 200 g cheese, grated

Directions:

  • Chop cabbage and boil a few minutes in a salted water. If using cauliflower – boil it a few minutes in a salted water too, but separately.
  • Fry minced meat with chopped onion in a pan while you won’t see red meat. Season with salt and peppers.
  • Coat baking form with butter. In a bowl mix minced meat and cabbages. Pour mixture in a baking form.
  • Beat eggs with milk and pour it over cabbages and minced meat. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
  • Bake for about 30 minutes in a preheated to 200˚C oven. Enjoy!

Sočiosios sūrio ir kumpio salotos

Satisfying cheese and ham salads

Everyone was happy to eat them 🙂 Of course – it doesn’t contain onion or garlic, which my children don’t like. I did only a half of portion, but after a few minutes my hubby rolled up the sleeves and made these salads again just all by him self because it’s hard to narrate how he liked them 🙂 A lot of products have a strong taste, so I recommend you to substitute some mayonnaise with sour cream or natural yoghurt. And I say that you can have these salads in a blink 🙂

Boiled potato pancakes with cabbage filling

Bored of eating potatoes and cabbages? Don’t know what to do with them? This is the solution I found yesterday on the internet. It’s a little bit time consuming, but it’s cheap. A day before a boiled potatoes and an egg, braised cabbage with onion. So the next day I had only to form pancakes and bake. My hubby was nicely surprised with the taste, and I – with the smell (I remember it from my childhood).

Minced meat and broccoli pie

It’s a perfect lunch in an office! For preparation you can use yesterdays meatballs, and in this case you will use less time for making this pie. I give you here a little bit changed crust amounts, because I like when the crust is thinner.

Omletas su sūriu

Omelette with cheese

I know, I know this is not some super stunning recipes, but this omelette is baked in our house almost every week, or when no bread we have at home, or when sandwiches starts to get boring. My kids don’t like simple omelette or baked eggs, but this is with cheese. And it buys my kids 🙂 Usually I prepare it without recipe, but I don’t like recipes without measurements so I give you exact recipe.
