Christmas if over, New Year and it’s new goals are set. So we have just to wait for another great festival – St.Valentine day. But Christmas stil is something special – because we spend so much time thinking about our family and friend. And I think that to give is more important in that day then to get.
This year I got a small present from Ineta from Gamyklėlė blog. Thank you very much – it was really sweet 🙂
And now a little bit about cookies. I chose them because in the recipe it was written that they don’t spread. Yes, it’s correct. But I expected more crunchy, and they were soft. But they hole the form very well and are really delicious. I gave them as a present in my job. They disappeared in minutes 🙂 And I was asked for the recipes. So here it goes:
Chocolate butter cookies
Time needed:
Yields: 40 cookies
Calories: 60 kcal / cookie
Ingredients:
1 cup = 237 ml
- 140 g butter
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/3 cup cocoa
- 1 1/2 cup flour
Directions:
- Cream room temperature butter with sugar. Add eggs and vanilla sugar. Mix well.
- Add baking powder and salt and mix again. Stir in the cocoa. Add flour in a few steps. The dough should be soft.
- Rap dough in food film and put in a fridge to chill (there it should be from 1 hour till you will have time to bake cookies). If you don’t have time to wait – just add 1/4 cup of flour.
- Take dough out of the fridge. Roll out on lightly floured surface.
- Cut cookies with forms and place on a baking tray, lined with baking paper.
- Bake at 180°C for 6 1/2 minutes.
- Enjoy!

Bread sticks with paprika and sesame
Very good snack. Kids came from the kinder-garden and ate only these sticks till none was left. I had to hide some for photo session. I baked them already two times. The first time I rolled sticks in sesame seeds, but the next day I had joy cleaning all house with vacuum-cleaner from the seeds 🙂 The next time I put sesame seeds inside the dough and it was more practical and the taste didn’t differ very much.
Brinza cheese bake
When I saw brinza in a store, I bought it without thinking. But it rested in a fridge for a while. Then I searched my recipe archive and found one recipe with this cheese. So I prepared this dish the same day. My hubby liked it, even a lot 🙂 Children ate a lot too, so I think they liked it too. The taste reminded us stewed curd lasybones, which we like the same as marmots 🙂 The next day I sliced left overs and fried with a little bit butter in a pan. Kids liked it too. So I think this recipe has full right to be in my blog 🙂
Zucchini cake with tuna
Very delicious cake. I never have a chance to photo it because every time it disappears very quickly. It”s so juicy, not dry at all. And my husband can eat almost half of the pie at once 🙂
Buns with cottage cheese
I bake these buns everytime I have some cottage cheese left and want something sweet but at the same time simple. And the next day I just love to warm them a few seconds in the microwave – then they smell like newly baked. Really good!
Old times white bread
This bread was baked in a lot of blogs and forums, but I could photograph it just now, although I baked it already five times. My hands and eyes were not successfull 🙂 One time I overrised it, next time had to use rye flour, another next time some othe my mistakes. But despite that this bread is really good, like in old times. Just I would prefere to use milk instead water – it changes bread texture, it becomes more mild.
