This recipe I made already three times and it was the best when I fried chicken till very dark colour and only then poured sauce.

Sweet and sour chicken

Time needed:
Yields: 2 servings
Calories: 515 kcal / 1 serving

Ingredients:

  • 2 (~300 g) chicken breast
  • 2 tbsps. potato flour
  • 2 tbsps. flour
  • seasonings
  • 2-3 tbsps. oil
  • Sauce:
  • 3 tbsps. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. liquid honey
  • 2 tbsps. soy sauce
  • 2-3 clove garlic
  • seasonings

Directions:

  • Cut chicken in cubes.
  • Put in a bag chicken , flour, potato flour and seasonings. Close bag and shake that all chicken parts were coated with flour mixture.
  • Heat oil in a pan and fry chicken till it will be nicely brown(if you have leftover of flour mixture, don’t use it).
  • In a small bowl mix all ingredients of the sauce. Then pour it over chicken and heat a few minutes more.
  • Serve with rice.

Chicken with Baked Rhubarb

I do as always – I add recipe here only when rhubarb season is over. Even if I prepared this in the beginning of the season. But this dish is suitable for those who like sweet and sour food and for those who like meat with fruits. In the baked chicken we tasted rhubarb only a little bit, and the whole chicken taste was great. Also, I blended baked rhubarbs and served as the sauce – it was really delicious for me and my daughter.

It’s really very simple stew and seasonings play here the main role. So you should use the ones that your family loves and the quantities that are good for you. Make experiment and enjoy it! As you can guess you can substitute turkey with chicken. We tried it already and we didn’t noticed the difference.
